The poIoTita 4.0 project is a research initiative aimed at developing a new generation of automated quality control systems for the manufacturing industry. By leveraging the capabilities of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI), Machine Vision, Machine Learning, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity, the project further develops SEEMS’ existing aRTi-D™ platform into a comprehensive quality assurance tool.
The new application will enable reliable defect identification, early detection of deviations, analysis of their root causes, and predictive capabilities to prevent the production of non-conforming products, supporting informed, real-time decision-making.
To address this need, SEEMS has developed its proprietary aRTi-D™ solution, a comprehensive and highly innovative digital hardware and software platform based on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, designed to support the digital transformation of manufacturing industries. Building on the company’s experience, emerging market trends driven by the rapid adoption of digital technologies, and the strong interest of manufacturing companies in modernising their operations to remain competitive, the project aims to develop two significant new systems, further extending the functionality currently provided by SEEMS through the aRTi-D™ solution. This will be achieved through the design and development of an Automated Product Quality Control System and an Indoor Production Area Air Quality Monitoring System.
The proposed investment will significantly support the market introduction and wider adoption of a modern digital solution that safeguards employee health, simplifies automated quality control processes, and contributes to the overall modernisation of industrial operations. By improving efficiency, reducing operating costs, and creating new opportunities for international market expansion, the solution will strengthen the competitiveness of manufacturing companies.
The innovation of poIoTita 4.0 is based on the integration of Generative AI, Machine Vision, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs) into a unified quality control platform.
Unlike conventional systems, which are primarily limited to detecting potential defects, the new application will be capable of interpreting data from images, sensors, and technical documents, assessing the criticality of each deviation, and providing natural-language explanations and recommendations for improvement.
At the same time, the use of advanced data analytics algorithms and predictive models will enhance the accuracy of quality control, reduce false alarms, and support the prevention of problems before they affect the production process.
The poIoTita 4.0 project is expected to deliver significant value to the modern manufacturing industry by enhancing the efficiency of quality control processes and supporting businesses' digital transformation.
By leveraging Artificial Intelligence technologies and real-time data analysis, companies will be able to:
- reduce the production of defective products,
- lower quality control and reinspection costs,
- improve productivity and production reliability,
- strengthen data-driven decision-making,
- increase their competitiveness and international market presence,
- create the conditions for more sustainable and digitally mature industrial production.
The project aims to represent an important step towards the next generation of quality control applications, leveraging advanced technologies to create safer, more efficient, and more competitive manufacturing operations.
